Experience
In total, I have 7 years of professional experience working in legal, policy or compliance roles across industries including telecommunications, fintech, education and social services, and the public sector.
Specifically, I have 3 years experience working as a qualified solicitor at Moores – a boutique law firm in Melbourne, Australia. In this role, I worked for a range of not-for-profit clients in areas of law including privacy, data security, contract drafting, mergers, charity registration, employment, child safety and corporate governance. My passion is for privacy and technology law. I particularly enjoy advising on how to optimise information handling practices and data protection compliance. Working with not-for-profit organisations with tight budgets taught me to be creative in designing my service offerings.
I have also worked for the Victorian and Australian Governments: Office of the Victorian Information Commissioner, Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman and Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
My professional experience also includes working in Paris and Amsterdam.
Getting personal
I am a French-born Australian and have lived in France, the Netherlands, Italy and the U.K. I am currently based in Amsterdam. I speak French (C1) and am learning Dutch.
I describe myself as a netball-obsessed history nerd. I love a good period drama novel, podcast, film or series. History led me to my legal career. I see both history and law are frames through which to understand the world around me. I currently play and volunteer for Amsterdam Netball Club. For the Europeans, click here to see what netball is.
